Last night Dustin and I calculated that we have about 45 days before our little lady makes her appearance in the world (that is, if she arrives on time- my inclination is that she will come sooner than later, despite that fact that most firstborns make a late entrance). That being said, we realize that we'd better shift our efforts into high gear to make sure this unfinished baby's room is ready for her arrival.
Despite some semi large tasks that still need to happen, I'm happy with the progress we've made in a few short weeks. From repainting the walls and crib shades of gray blue to stripping my childhood dresser of its yellow paint to picking some colorful fabrics and art to brighten the space, I'm excited to see the room come together. So what's this coming weekend's goal? To finish applying and painting the wainscot ceiling and crown molding. Fingers crossed that it goes well!
